New container vessels named NICOLAI MÆRSK and NORA MÆRSK, respectively

A.P. Møller-Maersk Sealand named two new ships at the Kaohsiung yard of China Shipbuilding Corporation (CSBC) on 24 May 2000.
CSBC's Hull No. 743 was named NICOLAI MÆRSK by Mrs Christine Elizabeth Lough, wife of Mr Philip Vernon Lough, Chief Executive Officer, Sealord Group Limited, New Zealand.
CSBC's Hull No. 745 was named NORA MÆRSK by Mrs Gillian Barratt, married to Mr Eric Barratt, Group Managing Director, Sanford Limited, New Zealand.
Mr Flemming Ipsen, Chief Executive, Asia, represented the owners of A.P. Møller-Maersk Sealand.
Mr Charles C.N. Yu, Chairman of China Shipbuilding Corp., represented the yard.
The new vessels have a capacity of 2,226 TEU each and are the second and the fourth of a series of six identical vessels being built by China Shipbuilding Corp. for A. P. Møller-Maersk Sealand.
The home ports of these vessels will be Bogense (for NICOLAI MÆRSK) and Abenraa (for NORA MÆRSK).
