A.P. Moller - Maersk sells its shareholding in Martinair

In relation to publishing the Interim Report 2007, the A.P. Moller - Maersk Group (“A.P. Moller - Maersk”) informed about the intention to sell its 50% shareholding in Martinair Holland N.V. (“Martinair”) to KLM Royal Dutch Airlines N.V. (“KLM”).

Today, the European Commission has approved the sale of A.P. Moller - Maersk’s shareholding to KLM. The sale is effective as per 31 December 2008 at which date KLM will become the sole shareholder of Martinair.

A.P. Moller - Maersk hopes that KLM’s sole ownership of Martinair will provide Martinair and its employees with the best possible prospects for the future.
